An office chair is the piece of furniture most of us use for more hours than any other except the bed. A poor one shows up as a stiff lower back by mid-afternoon, numb legs or sore shoulders. A good one quietly disappears. Sunaofe sells ergonomic office chairs, standing desks and monitor arms directly to home-office users, and says it is made by Sunon, an office furniture manufacturer operating since 1991.

I would choose a chair by matching its adjustments to your body and working habits, then compare prices. Seat height range, lumbar support and armrest adjustment matter more than recline angle or colour options, and a generous home trial is valuable because comfort only becomes clear after several full days.

Four chairs compared

The Resistance, a mesh chair, was listed at $199.99 against $259.99. It has a seat height of 18.5 to 21.5 inches, a 300-pound capacity, flip-up 3D armrests, recline up to 135 degrees, BIFMA certification and a curved backrest rather than adjustable lumbar support. The Boss Pro, in water-resistant vegan leather, was $289.99, with adaptive lumbar support, a footrest and four-way armrests.

Higher up, the Morph Classic mesh chair at $449.99 adds auto-tracking lumbar support with 3.5 inches of travel, recline to 140 degrees with a five-stage lock and seven-way armrests, fitting users from 5 feet to 6 feet 3 inches. The Atlas, also $449.99, offers dynamic lumbar support, an adjustable headrest and fits users from 4 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 3 inches.

Choosing by height and posture

The Resistance does not list a user height range, and a customer review mentions the lowest seat height feeling too high for shorter people. If you are under about 5 feet 4 inches, the Atlas, with its lower 17.7-inch minimum seat height, may suit you better. Your feet should rest flat on the floor with knees roughly level with your hips.

Adjustable lumbar support is the feature I would prioritise for long working days. The Resistance relies on the backrest shape, which suits some backs and not others. The Morph and Atlas allow more tuning.

Standing desk pre-orders

The homepage promoted the Lunar standing desk on pre-order from $899.99, with a refundable $89.99 deposit and shipping from 11 November 2026. It lists a 350-pound capacity, a height range of 28 to 51.2 inches and noise under 48 decibels. Pre-orders tie up money before delivery, so check the deposit terms.

Returns: the window changed

The return policy has two schedules. Orders placed between 25 March and 2 November 2026 have a 60-day window with free return shipping. Orders from 3 November 2026 have free returns for the first 30 days, and a flat fee of $49 per chair or $99 per desk from day 31 to day 60. The homepage still advertises a 60-day home trial with free returns, so check which terms apply on the day you order.

Returned items must be sent within ten business days, and refunds post three to five business days after inspection. Orders can be cancelled within two hours.

Shipping and warranty

Shipping is free by FedEx Ground to the 48 contiguous states, with in-stock orders processed in one business day and delivered in three to seven business days. The product FAQ lists five-year warranties on chairs, desk frames, motors, controls and monitor arms, and two years on desktops. Assembly is required, with most people finishing in under 20 minutes according to the brand.

For illustration, a $199.99 chair used eight hours a day, five days a week, for five years works out to about 15 cents per working day. A $449.99 chair costs about 35 cents. That is a budgeting example, not a durability guarantee.

My verdict

Sunaofe offers a clear range of ergonomic chairs with published specifications, sensible weight capacities and a five-year warranty, plus a home trial that remains generous even with the new fees. The lack of a height range on the Resistance and the changing return terms are the points to check before ordering. I have not sat in these chairs, so comfort, durability and lumbar effectiveness remain untested here.

If I were choosing, I would match the chair to my height and need for lumbar adjustment, order early in the return window and use it for full working days before deciding. A chair earns its price when you stop noticing your back at five o'clock, not when it has the most features.
