Most wardrobes have plenty of clothes and very few favourites. The pieces that get worn every week are usually the simple ones: a tee that hangs well, a long-sleeve layer, a pair of jeans that work with everything. WILT is interesting because it builds its collection around relaxed, considered everyday pieces rather than one-off statement items.

I would start with the gaps in your wardrobe rather than the new arrivals. A premium basic earns its price when it is worn often, washes well and keeps its shape. A $95 top does little for the budget if the fit or fabric means it rarely leaves the drawer.

What WILT sells

WILT describes itself as designed in Los Angeles and in business since 2008, selling women’s tops, dresses, bottoms, denim, handbags and gift cards. Homepage prices included an envelope-neck long sleeve at $92, a twofer long-sleeve halter at $99, a long-sleeve mock layer from $47.50 on sale, straight-leg cuff jeans at $218 and a short-sleeve shrunken V-neck from $40.50.

That positions WILT as a considered purchase rather than fast fashion. The question is whether the design and fabric justify buying fewer, better pieces.

A closer look at one top

The long-sleeve stripe henley is listed at $95 in 100% cotton with a striped pointelle fabrication, sizes XS to L and colourways including cream with black and chintz rose with black. Care instructions recommend a cold, gentle wash and tumble drying on low, with non-chlorine bleach only if needed.

Cotton pointelle is breathable and soft, but it can be more delicate than a plain jersey. Following the care label carefully matters more than usual if you want a textured knit to last.

The fit is deliberately relaxed

The FAQ says WILT tops fit loosely, and suggests sizing down for a slimmer look. It describes “shrunken” styles as a classic fit and “slouchy” styles as slightly oversized. The henley size guide maps XS to sizes 0–2, S to 4–6, M to 8–10, L to 12–14 and XL to 16–18, with bust, waist and hip measurements.

Read each product’s fit description before ordering, because a relaxed brand can feel very different from one with a close cut. If you prefer a fitted silhouette, the shrunken styles may be the safer starting point.

Shipping and returns

Ground shipping is free on orders over $100, with a flat $5 charge below that, and expedited shipping is available at extra cost. Orders ship by UPS, P.O. Boxes are not accepted and orders over $1,000 require a signature. WILT does not currently ship internationally.

Returns are accepted within 15 days of receipt with one prepaid USPS label per order, for unworn items with tags and original packaging. Returns after 30 days receive site credit and returns past 60 days are not accepted. Final-sale items, including some heavily discounted pieces, cannot be returned or exchanged, and refunds take seven to ten business days to process. Discount codes cannot be combined with sale prices.

Compare the cost per wear

Add the item and any shipping. Then estimate how often you will wear it in a typical month. Basics are where cost per wear can work strongly in favour of a better-made piece, because they are worn so frequently.

For illustration, a $95 top worn once a week for two years is worn about 100 times, or roughly 95 cents per wear. A $25 top that loses its shape after ten wears costs $2.50 each time. That is a budgeting example, not a durability claim.

Build around what you already own

Before ordering, lay out the trousers, skirts and jackets you wear most often and look for the gap. A neutral long-sleeve layer may work with almost everything; a bold stripe or colour may only suit a few outfits. Premium basics are most valuable when they connect pieces you already have.

Start with one or two items in colours that match your existing wardrobe. Once you know how the fabric and fit work for you, it becomes easier to decide whether jeans or dresses from the same brand are worth the larger spend.

My verdict

WILT looks well suited to women who prefer relaxed, easy layers and are willing to invest in basics they will wear constantly. The clear fit guidance and fabric details make it possible to choose the right cut. I have not worn these clothes, so fabric quality and how the pieces hold up after washing remain untested here.

I would read the fit description carefully, consider sizing down if you prefer a closer silhouette and avoid final-sale items until you know the brand’s sizing. The price earns its place when a piece becomes a weekly favourite. Buying fewer, better basics only works if you actually wear them.
