Some purchases are bought on impulse, and some need a tape measure, a delivery plan and a hard look at the household budget. A medical-grade massage chair sits firmly in the second group. Universe of Comfort is a US and Canada retailer that sells at-home wellness equipment, including Luraco massage chairs, infrared and steam saunas, electric fireplaces, cold plunges and patio furniture.

With prices running well into five figures for the top chairs, I would treat this as a considered home investment rather than a gadget. The questions that matter are whether the chair fits the person using it, whether it fits the room, and how expensive it would be to change your mind once a 300-pound box has arrived.

What the store sells

The massage chair range focuses on Luraco, an American brand. The flagship I looked at, the Luraco i9 MAX Plus Medical Massage Chair, was listed at $13,490 against a regular price of $15,490, while the Luraco Model 3 Hybrid SL starts from $9,990. Outside massage chairs, the store lists saunas such as the Finnmark FD-5 Trinity XL four-person infrared and steam combination at $8,995, along with fireplaces and cold plunge tubs.

That is a specialist catalogue, not a general furniture shop. The appeal is choice within high-end wellness equipment, and the risk is that every mistake is expensive.

Fit the chair to the person

The i9 MAX Plus page gives the specifications I would check first. It supports users up to 300 pounds and between 4 feet 7 inches and 6 feet 10 inches tall. The chair itself weighs around 310 pounds, measures about 48 inches high and 38 inches wide, and extends to roughly 87 inches when fully reclined. The recline range is listed as 120 to 170 degrees.

The length when reclined is the figure people tend to forget. Measure the space behind and in front of the chair, allow room to walk around it and check the route from the front door, including turns in hallways and stairs.

Delivery choices

Shipping is listed as free, with curbside or threshold freight typically taking seven to ten days, and white glove delivery ten to sixteen days. White glove covers up to two flights of stairs, and assembly is estimated at 30 to 90 minutes. Delivery is limited to the US and Canada.

For a chair of this weight, curbside delivery means you are responsible for moving it inside. Unless you have strong helpers and a ground-floor room, I would budget for white glove delivery and treat it as part of the true price.

Warranty and returns in detail

The i9 MAX Plus page lists a free five-year warranty, broken down as three years of labour, five years of parts and five years of structure, with a five-year extension available for $695. Leather carries a separate ten-year term, while commercial use is limited to two years.

Returns are covered by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, but the details matter. The refund policy dates the window from the ship date, while the product page refers to 30 days from receiving, so check which applies to your order. Original packaging is required, white glove fees are not refunded, and restocking and return shipping charges apply. Cancellations carry a 3 percent card fee plus a $20 processing charge, and financing fees of 10 to 15 percent are not refundable.

Health claims and caution

Product pages describe health benefits, but I did not see detailed medical cautions on the page I read. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, use a pacemaker, have had recent surgery or live with chronic pain, ask a doctor before buying. A massage chair is a comfort device, not a substitute for treatment.

For illustration, a $13,490 chair used for 20 minutes five days a week over five years comes to about $10 per session. Used twice a week, it is closer to $26. That is a budgeting example, not a guarantee of value or health benefit.

My verdict

Universe of Comfort looks suited to buyers who have already decided they want a premium massage chair or home sauna and want detailed specifications and long warranty terms. The published dimensions, user limits and warranty breakdown are genuinely useful. The return terms, with restocking, shipping and non-refundable fees, mean this is not a purchase to test casually. I have not used these chairs, so comfort, noise and long-term reliability remain untested here.

If I were buying, I would try a comparable chair in person if possible, measure the reclined footprint, budget for white glove delivery and confirm the return window in writing. A luxury chair earns its price through daily use over many years, not through the size of the gift card offered at checkout.

Current coupons and offers

Compare the available offers below against the complete checkout total. Choose a coupon that applies to what you actually need, and check its conditions before paying.

Offers and coupon eligibility depend on the store and the time of purchase. For the latest options, visit the Universe of Comfort offers page on Dealnory.
