dogado review: compare German hosting plans, introductory prices, domain renewal, backup limits and cancellation terms before choosing a website package.
A hosting plan can look inexpensive until its introductory period ends or the website needs help moving. dogado offers several services around websites, domains and business tools. The useful comparison is the complete package your project needs, including the work you will still have to do yourself.
This review examines official German-site information checked on November 4, 2026. Our affiliate link is for the German campaign. We have not benchmarked servers, tested support or opened a paid account. Dealnory may earn a commission through our links at no extra cost to you. dogado review: start with the project
The site separates standard webhosting, WordPress hosting, website-building options, domains, email and server services. Those categories address different levels of responsibility. Someone who wants to edit a simple business website has different needs from a developer who wants to administer a server.
Do not assume that an unmanaged server is a more convenient version of shared hosting. Ask who maintains the operating system, installs updates, handles backups and investigates application issues. A low server price can become poor value if you need separate administration that was never included.
For a WordPress site, compare the dedicated WordPress offer with the standard plan using the same requirements. The availability of a one-click installation is different from an agreement to maintain plugins, repair a broken theme or make changes to the site.
Introductory prices and the first year
The reviewed webhosting page lists WEB S 5.0 at €2.99 per month for three months and €5.99 thereafter. Confirm the current offer, eligibility and selected term before buying.
Using those rates, twelve months of WEB S would total €62.88 before extras: three promotional months plus nine standard months. Compare the complete period rather than the opening monthly figure.
For later years, calculate the standard-rate total and add any separately charged domains, services or upgrades. A first-year saving does not guarantee that the package remains the most economical choice.
If the offer allows a shorter commitment at a different price, compare the complete period you expect to use. A low monthly figure tied to a longer minimum term and a flexible monthly option should not be treated as identical offers.
Storage, databases and actual capacity
The WEB S listing shows 75 GB storage and ten databases; WEB L shows 300 GB and 150 databases. The same comparison presents an included domain for the first twelve months. Those allowances should be checked against your actual selected plan rather than applied to the whole range.
Large storage does not establish how many visitors a complex website can support. Ask about the resource limits relevant to the application, such as memory, process limits and permitted workloads. We have not conducted load tests and cannot confirm how a particular shop or plugin-heavy site performs.
Estimate the website files, databases and email you need now, with room for realistic growth. If several projects share an account, check which limits apply to the whole account and which apply separately. A long feature list is less useful than knowing the limit your project is most likely to reach.
Domain inclusion and renewal
An included first-year domain should not be read as a permanently free domain. Check which extensions qualify, what renewal costs after the included period and whether a transferred domain receives the same treatment as a new registration. Retain access to the domain-management and contact details.
Keep domain registration, website hosting and email as separate entries in your cost record. They can be related services without having identical renewal or cancellation dates. If you later move the website, make sure the plan preserves the domain and mail arrangements you intend to keep.
The official cancellation form specifically notes that domains belonging to a webhosting package must be cancelled separately. That makes it worth checking the status of each service rather than assuming one hosting cancellation ends every associated charge.
Backups and restoration
The webhosting comparison advertises backups every two hours, with seven days of retention for the reviewed smaller plans and fourteen for the larger plans. These are provider descriptions, not restore tests performed by Dealnory. Confirm the selected tier and whether the data you need is covered.
Backup frequency and retention answer different questions. A frequent backup with a short retention period may not contain an older clean version of a problem discovered much later. Ask whether files, databases and email are included, how individual items are restored and whether assistance costs extra.
Keep an appropriate independent backup arrangement for the project and test that it can actually be used. An automatic-backup label does not establish that every failure can be reversed or that a restore is instant. We have not evaluated dogado's restoration interface or recovery time.
Migration and support scope
The hosting page lists migration among separate Premium Services. Before assuming a move is included, get the scope and price for your website, databases and mailboxes. Moving one site can be a smaller job than moving several domains, old mail and application settings.
Ask who coordinates the change, what access is needed and how the site is checked before the domain points to the new service. Confirm whether the former hosting needs to stay active during the move. This review does not provide instructions for changing a live site's records.
For support, distinguish help with the hosting platform from editing the website itself. Ask what happens if a plugin update breaks the page or an older application requires changes. A support team being available does not establish that all development work is part of the hosting fee.
Security and performance claims
The provider advertises security and availability features. Treat them as contractual and technical claims to investigate, rather than independent evidence that your application cannot fail or be compromised. A secure connection, protective service and an updated application address different parts of the problem.
Check which protections are included and whether any legacy-software support is an additional charge. Confirm the versions your application requires and plan maintenance rather than assuming an old setup can remain unchanged indefinitely.
We have not measured uptime, page speed or support response. If performance is central to the project, evaluate the actual application under a suitable trial or agreed test arrangement before moving every business-critical service.
Cancellation and contract dates
The published notice table lists twelve-month terms and three-month cancellation notice for webhosting and Managed WordPress. It lists six weeks for several common domain extensions and different periods for other products. The exact contract, product version and customer status can affect the applicable position, so obtain the current terms with your order.
Do not infer that a displayed monthly price means a one-month commitment. Record the start date, minimum term, renewal arrangement and deadline for giving notice. Keep confirmation after a cancellation and check each domain or additional service separately.
The provider also publishes general terms that distinguish aspects of consumer contracts. This review does not determine an individual customer's legal cancellation rights. If the order summary and a generic notice table differ, ask the provider to clarify the applicable arrangement in writing before purchase.
Email and optional business tools
dogado offers email-related products separately as well as email features within hosting plans. Decide whether you need ordinary mailboxes, collaboration features or another service before adding a bundle. Similar-looking account limits do not prove that two email products have the same functions.
Check storage, sending limits, supported clients, spam handling and migration requirements. For a business using email throughout the day, these practical details may matter more than spare website storage. Confirm export and access arrangements if the hosting account later changes.
Using a Dealnory offer
Browse dogado through our German affiliate link after comparing the complete first year and standard-rate costs. Check new-customer restrictions, selected term and whether the coupon applies to hosting, domains or another product.
Review optional items before payment. A discount on hosting may not reduce migration, domain renewal or a separate service. Save the configured package and the pricing schedule so you can assess later invoices against the actual order.
Our assessment
dogado is worth comparing for German-market websites that need hosting, domains and related support in one provider's range. The decisive checks are the standard price, domain costs after year one, recovery arrangements and the scope of any paid assistance.
Our assessment is based on published shopping and service information rather than server benchmarks. Choose the plan around the application and the responsibilities you want the provider to handle, then use a promotion to reduce that suitable package's cost.
