easyname review: compare hosting, email and website-builder plans, introductory pricing, renewal costs and migration questions before choosing your setup.

A low monthly headline can make hosting appear simpler to compare than it really is. The service type, ongoing price, resource limits and work required to maintain the project can matter more than the first invoice. easyname offers several services, so the first decision is which one solves your actual problem.

This review examines published service information checked on November 4, 2026. We have not hosted a production site, benchmarked performance or tested support. The German-domain entry redirected to easyname's current main site during research; confirm the language, billing country and terms for your own order. Dealnory may earn a commission through our links at no extra cost to you. Check current easyname coupons and offers after defining the required service.

easyname review: separate four different needs

The public catalog distinguishes domains, email, web hosting, website building and server products. A domain gives the project an address; it does not, by itself, establish that a website, mailbox or site-building tool is included. Read the complete package description.

If you only need a branded mailbox, compare the email service before buying a larger website package. If you already have a WordPress site, compare compatible hosting and a migration plan. If you want to construct a new site without managing that software, evaluate the builder separately.

A VPS introduces another kind of decision. Consider who will configure and maintain it, what support is included and what access is required. More control can be useful for a defined technical need, but it does not automatically make the simplest small website easier to operate.

Hosting tiers: capacity is not the whole comparison

The hosting page lists Small, Medium, Large and X-Large packages with increasing storage and database allowances. It advertises SSD storage and included Let's Encrypt certificates. Those features provide comparison points, but they are not independent measurements of page speed, reliability or suitability for every application.

Estimate the website's actual needs: media storage, number of databases, applications, mailboxes and scheduled jobs. Then verify the plan's complete resource and usage limits. A large storage figure does not answer every question about a busy site or a demanding task.

Ask about the version and configuration your application requires. Check the supported software, access methods and any necessary scheduled processes. A plan described as suitable for a shop should still be compared with the requirements of the particular shop you intend to run.

Read the price after the introductory period

The current service pages distinguish introductory offers from later monthly prices, with several promotions described as lasting three months. Headline amounts can differ between landing pages and selected plans. Use the actual cart and order summary to confirm the applicable offer rather than relying on the lowest figure found elsewhere.

Calculate the total over the period you expect to use the service. For illustration, a hypothetical plan priced at €1 for three months and €8 for the next nine costs €75 in its first year. At an unchanged €8 monthly rate, the following year costs €96. These are example rates, not a current easyname quote.

Include billing frequency, minimum term, tax treatment and any necessary add-ons. A price expressed per month may still be collected on another schedule. Confirm the amount payable now as well as the ongoing commitment before comparing two promotions.

Domains and renewals need a separate line

Check whether a domain is included, for how long and which extensions qualify. A first-year inclusion does not establish the renewal price. If you need several domains, calculate each one separately and check transfer conditions rather than treating the entire portfolio as part of one headline hosting offer.

Keep ownership and administrative contact details accurate. Decide who will monitor renewal notices and maintain access to the account. For a business project, record how the domain, website and email services relate so changing one does not become an avoidable surprise.

Before ordering, ask how cancellation, automatic renewal and transfers work for the selected product under the current terms. This review does not apply an archived contract version to a new purchase or determine the legal outcome of a cancellation.

Website builder versus hosting your own software

The builder is presented as a separate tool for creating a website, with plan-dependent selling features. Evaluate the editor, templates and required functions before committing to a long-term setup. A template photograph does not establish that every design detail or shop feature is available in every plan.

List the functions the finished site must perform: forms, product catalog, payments, languages or integrations. Check the relevant plan and any additional fees. A visually attractive starter site is useful only if it supports the actual tasks visitors need to complete.

Ask about exporting content and moving away from the builder if that matters to your project. Do not assume the migration path is identical to copying a self-managed site's files and database. We have not tested the editor or an export workflow.

Email: count usable mailboxes and storage

For an email-focused purchase, compare the number of actual mailboxes, their storage allowances and the distinction between mailboxes and aliases. Confirm the desktop and mobile clients you intend to use and the available setup guidance.

Think about the people who need separate sign-ins and the addresses that can simply forward to an existing mailbox. A larger count in a plan description is meaningful only when you understand what it counts. Include any required archive or migration work in the purchase comparison.

We have not measured deliverability, spam filtering or synchronisation reliability. Published features do not guarantee every message reaches an inbox. If email is central to your work, discuss the actual requirements and transition plan with the provider before moving a live service.

Backups: ask about restoration, not just frequency

The hosting information advertises frequent automatic backups. Ask what data is included, how long copies are retained, how a restore is requested and whether restoring a particular item costs extra. A backup-frequency statement alone does not answer those recovery questions.

Define the recovery you might need: one deleted file, a damaged database, a mailbox or the complete site. Establish who can perform it and what information they need. Keep important project records and a suitable independent recovery plan for your own requirements.

We have not performed a restore or verified backup availability. This review cannot establish a recovery time or guarantee that every version of every item will be recoverable. Clarify the scope before treating a backup badge as a complete continuity arrangement.

Migration has several parts

The hosting page distinguishes doing a transfer yourself from paid migration services. Confirm the quoted scope for the actual project: site files, databases, email, domain and any application configuration. Do not assume all of those tasks are included because one is described as a transfer.

For a live site, plan how the new copy will be checked before changing the domain's routing. Include forms, sign-ins, checkout where relevant and scheduled tasks in the acceptance check. This is a planning framework, not evidence that we have tested easyname's migration service.

Keep the old service available for an appropriate transition period and agree who will handle each change. A promise of an easy switch should be translated into specific tasks and responsibilities before it becomes a deadline for a working business site.

Support and maintenance boundaries

Ask what support covers for the selected service and when it is available. Server maintenance, application updates, content changes and troubleshooting a third-party plugin are different kinds of work. A general personal-support statement does not establish that every one is included.

Prepare the relevant project details when asking a question, and keep written answers about important requirements. We have not opened a support ticket or tested response times. Customer testimonials on a marketing page are not our own service experience.

Compare the complete service

Review current easyname offer conditions on Dealnory, then verify the selected plan, renewal amount and any migration or domain charges. Compare what you need over the intended period rather than the largest first-month discount.

easyname is worth shortlisting when its exact service configuration fits your project and you understand the ongoing cost and work involved.
