GASLAND Chef review: compare gas cooktops, electric cooktops and wall ovens, installation dimensions, delivery costs and return terms before your purchase.

GASLAND Chef sells built-in cooking appliances as well as other home and outdoor products. This review focuses on three kitchen examples from the US store because their fit and connection requirements are central to a successful purchase. Official listings and policies were checked on November 4, 2026. No appliance was installed, cooked on or independently performance-tested for this article.

GASLAND Chef review: measure before comparing discounts

A built-in appliance needs to match the installation, not just the advertised width. The opening, surrounding clearances, cabinet support and connection arrangement should all be checked against the exact model manual. A product described as 30 inches wide does not establish that it fits every existing 30-inch opening.

Before ordering, collect the current appliance model, measured opening and relevant supply information, then have a qualified installer assess the intended replacement. This review compares buying considerations; it is not a gas-conversion or electrical-wiring guide. Confirm the work and any additional materials required before treating the appliance price as the project budget.

Three different kitchen examples

ExampleListed US priceKey pre-purchase check
PRO GH3305SF 30-inch five-burner gas cooktop with griddle$479.99Gas supply, ignition power, cutout and clearances
CH774BF34A-family 30-inch ceramic electric cooktop$459.99Exact model suffix and specified 240V hardwired connection
ES611TS 24-inch electric wall oven$599.99Cabinet opening, door clearance and electrical requirements

Prices are snapshots and do not guarantee stock or a particular promotion. Confirm the selected package and suffix. A product-page heading can contain inconsistent wording: the ES611TS page's technical section identifies electric fuel and 240 volts even where another heading mentions gas. Resolve any discrepancy through the model manual and retailer before buying.

Gas cooktop: fuel and ignition are separate

The PRO GH3305SF listing describes five burners, a griddle and compatibility information for natural gas and propane. It lists 120V/60Hz for electronic ignition. That electrical specification does not mean the cooking burners are electric. Confirm the appliance's supplied fuel configuration and whether conversion work is needed for your installation.

The page gives an overall width of 30 inches and a separate built-in opening measurement. Have the installer confirm the manual's opening and clearance requirements rather than cutting a counter from a short shopping table. Check what regulator, nozzles and installation components are included, and which additional work remains your responsibility.

Consider the arrangement of the burners and griddle with cookware you actually use. Five burner positions do not automatically mean five large pans will fit comfortably at the same time. A photograph can help assess layout, but this review has not tested heat distribution, simmer control or griddle performance.

Ceramic electric cooktop: check the exact specification

The selected ceramic page describes a four-zone radiant cooktop with a linked heating-element arrangement and slide-touch controls. Its technical information lists 240V and a 40A circuit-breaker requirement, while the description says the unit requires hardwiring without a plug. Have a qualified installer confirm the correct connection against the supplied manual and local requirements.

Do not assume this ceramic model is an induction cooktop merely because it has a flat black surface. GASLAND sells induction as a separate category. Confirm the heating technology and its instructions before comparing cookware requirements or expecting the behavior of an appliance you have used previously.

The page contains different overall-size figures in separate sections. That is another reason to obtain the exact current model drawing before scheduling counter work. A small difference can matter when replacing an appliance in an existing opening. Save the selected model number and the document used by the installer.

ES611TS wall oven: plan the cabinet and access

The ES611TS listing identifies a 2.6-cubic-foot built-in electric convection oven with rotisserie equipment. It publishes separate product and built-in dimensions. Compare both with your cabinet, including the space needed to open the door, move racks and connect the appliance as specified.

Capacity in cubic feet does not tell you whether your favorite roasting pan or baking tray fits. Check the usable internal dimensions and supplied rack configuration before purchase. If you are replacing a larger oven, think through the meals you commonly prepare rather than assuming the nominal exterior width tells the whole story.

The listed $599.99 price is the appliance price. Include removal of the old unit, cabinet changes, installation and any required delivery handling when comparing the project. Ask who will move the appliance into place and whether the quoted service includes connection, testing or disposal; a shipping offer alone does not establish those services.

Delivery: small parcel and freight differ

The dedicated shipping policy advertises free ground delivery on US orders over $150, excluding Alaska, Guam, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It lists 1–2 business days for processing, 3–5 business days for standard shipping and 8–10 calendar days for LTL freight. Product-page summaries show a different standard transit estimate, so verify the actual shipment details for the selected order.

A same-day dispatch banner should not replace those fuller conditions. Large or multiple items may use freight, and an installation appointment should allow time for delivery and inspection. Confirm the address, access limitations and receiving arrangement before paying, especially where a bulky order may be difficult to redirect.

The shipping policy says changes cannot be made after dispatch and describes a restocking deduction where a freight destination change causes return to the sender. Check all address and contact details carefully. If you need a cancellation, contact support promptly rather than assuming an order can be stopped after warehouse processing begins.

Returns: allow for a 20% restocking fee

The returns page requires a request within 30 days of the package being marked delivered, with goods unused, in original condition and packaging, plus proof of purchase. Prior approval is required. For change-of-mind returns, the buyer pays return shipping and a 20% restocking fee. The policy distinguishes those cases from a verified seller error or defective item.

For the $479.99 gas cooktop example, 20% is approximately $96 before return freight. That makes confirming compatibility before installation a material cost decision. A thirty-day headline should not be read as permission to install and cook on an appliance before deciding whether it fits your project.

Inspect deliveries promptly, photograph any damage and retain the packaging while the retailer assesses the issue. Obtain the correct return address rather than sending an appliance back to the dispatch location. The policy says those addresses may differ and that unauthorized returns are not accepted.

Warranty: coverage has conditions

The warranty page describes one year from the order date for manufacturing or material defects when the appliance is correctly connected and used according to its instructions. It says enamel or paint damage should be reported within one week of delivery and that warranty work does not extend the original period. These are retailer terms, not a claim outcome tested by this review.

Keep the order number, model documentation and installation records. Ask how an accepted claim will be handled and whether removal or reinstallation work is included before assuming every related project expense is covered. Report problems with clear evidence and follow the retailer's instructions for service.

Verdict: choose for the installation you can support
