Joydeco review: compare custom curtains, window measurements, fabric choice, offer conditions and return limits before buying new window treatments online.
Joydeco sells custom curtains, shades and ready-made window coverings. The attraction is a wide choice of appearance and fit without visiting a showroom, but a custom order puts more responsibility on the measurements and specifications you submit. This review examines official US-site information checked in November 2026. We have not installed the products or tested blackout, acoustic or thermal performance. The cover is an AI-assisted interior illustration based on official category photographs, not a test installation.

Joydeco review: who should consider it?
Joydeco is a candidate for buyers who want to specify window treatments and are willing to check the details before production. Its catalogue covers heavier curtains, lighter styles and several shade formats, so a single brand can be considered across different rooms. However, a broad catalogue does not mean every fabric offers the same light control or every product follows the same measuring method.
The strongest starting point is the room's practical need. A bedroom may prioritize darkness, a living room may prioritize daylight, and a street-facing window may need privacy at specific times. Write that requirement down before selecting a color. Buyers who need generous change-of-mind returns should examine the restrictive policy carefully before committing to a custom specification.
Current Joydeco offers and conditions
At the time of checking, the official US site advertised BF15 for 15% off sitewide and BF20 for 20% off orders of $449 or more. It also advertised free shipping on qualifying orders of $99 or more. Confirm the eligible subtotal, products, destination and final checkout result. We have not tested these codes in a completed purchase, and the promotions can change or end.
Use the embedded Dealnory offer below and the Joydeco coupon page to check current availability. Do not assume codes stack or that a discount changes the refund policy. Select the right size and fabric first; buying extra panels just to reach a threshold only makes sense if those panels are needed.
Choose the product type around light and access
| Option | Reason to compare it | Question before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Blackout curtain | A darker-room goal | What lining and installation coverage are required? |
| Sheer or light-filtering curtain | A softer daylight appearance | Will nighttime privacy meet your needs? |
| Roman shade | A compact folded window treatment | What mount type and clearances are specified? |
| Other custom shade | A different operating or shading format | Are controls, power and hardware included? |
The official navigation separates linen, velvet, chenille, sheer and other fabric categories, as well as Roman, roller, cellular and other shades. Treat those categories as a way to narrow the search. Read the actual composition and lining on each listing. A linen-look name should not be interpreted as a guarantee of pure linen content, and a room photograph cannot establish the exact material.
Measurement matters more than a starting price
Joydeco's curtain guide says to measure the rod or track rather than simply the glass. For rod-pocket, back-tab and grommet styles, it provides a width calculation using rod or track width, fullness and the number of panels. Its example uses a 100-inch rod and two 100-inch-wide panels for 200% fullness. That is a curtain example, not a universal shade-measuring rule.
Confirm whether the number entered on the selected product means one panel, a pair or the completed coverage. Record the unit of measurement and the intended finished length. If hardware is not yet installed, decide where it will sit before finalizing fabric dimensions. A difference between window size and order size is not automatically a manufacturing mistake.
Check obstacles such as handles, radiators, furniture and doors. Ask support to review unusual layouts before paying, especially if the measuring guide does not answer the situation. Keep the written measurements and a copy of your selected configuration. These records are more useful than relying on memory if the delivered item later appears different from what you expected.
Swatches and color selection
The site promotes fabric swatches as part of the selection process. Use a sample to examine texture and color in the actual room, both near the window and beside furnishings. Confirm any charge, delivery time and whether the sample matches the exact fabric and lining under consideration. A sample is a buying aid rather than a guarantee that all production batches will look identical.
Photographs depend on lighting, screens and styling. If two windows must match, ask whether the material should be ordered together and how dye-lot variation is handled. Do not choose an expensive custom order solely from an image on a phone. The return policy's exclusions make careful selection particularly important.
Blackout, noise and insulation claims
Joydeco uses functional categories such as blackout, soundproof and thermal insulation. We have not independently measured those outcomes. Check which claim belongs to the selected fabric and lining, and ask what conditions support it. A curtain's fabric opacity and the amount of light entering around its edges are different questions.
Do not budget around an assumed energy saving or expect a curtain alone to eliminate outside noise. Compare the full installation: width, overlap, length, mounting position and nearby gaps. If a particular performance result is essential, ask for relevant specifications before ordering rather than inferring it from a lifestyle picture or customer comment.
Return restrictions and cancellation timing
The published US refund policy excludes many preference-based reasons, including changed minds, unwanted color, wrong orders and expectations about weight or light blocking. It lists wrong items and defects as eligible cases requiring photos and a description, with requests within 30 days of receipt. Obtain authorization before returning anything. The page states customer-paid return shipping and an 80% refund calculation; clarify the remedy for your particular case before proceeding.
For cancellation, it advertises a full refund within 12 hours when support is contacted, then a 30% fee if production has started after that window. Produced and shipped orders cannot be cancelled under the stated policy. Submit corrections promptly and retain confirmation. These conditions make it unwise to order several custom alternatives with the intention of returning the ones you dislike.
Production, shipping and the complete basket
The US shipping page lists two to five business days for production followed by seven to twelve business days for standard shipping. It lists $9.99 standard delivery below $99, free standard delivery at $99 or more and $19.99 fast shipping with a stated three-to-seven-business-day transit range. Confirm the timing for your exact order; faster transit does not necessarily remove production time.
Compare the complete configuration: panel quantity, size adjustments, lining, header, hardware, delivery and applicable taxes or duties. A product's starting price may describe a much smaller configuration than the one needed for your room. If ordering for a move or renovation deadline, get the expected schedule before payment and allow for installation after arrival.
Verdict: specify carefully before chasing an offer
Joydeco merits consideration for buyers seeking configurable window treatments who can verify measurements and accept limited return flexibility. Its range and current promotions are useful comparison points, but the strongest purchase decision comes from the right fabric, lining, size and hardware.
