Poster Master Review: Prints, Canvas and Framing Tips

Poster Master review: compare art prints, canvas and personalized pieces, framing and matboard choices, sizing for your wall and current offers before you buy.

Buying wall art online looks simple until the print arrives and turns out to be too small for the sofa wall, the wrong shade against the paint, or impossible to hang without a trip to a framing shop. Poster Master, a wall art shop based in Irvine, California, tries to cover the whole job in one place, with prints, canvas, frames and matboards sold together. That makes it a useful starting point, provided you plan the size, the finish and the framing before you add anything to the cart.

This desk review is based on Poster Master's published product information and the offers listed on Dealnory, checked on November 4, 2026. We have not ordered or hung the prints ourselves. Poster Master review: what the catalog covers

The range includes art prints and posters, canvas prints, personalized prints, frames and matboards. The catalog is organized by collection, art style, famous painter and room, so you can browse classic masterpieces, contemporary designs, botanical prints, music posters and map art without guessing at search terms. That structure helps when you know the mood you want but not the exact piece.

Personalized prints let you turn your own idea into wall art, which suits gifts and pieces with personal meaning. Digital gift cards are delivered by email, can be used at checkout and, according to the store, have no expiration date. For anyone buying for a new homeowner or a friend with strong taste, that is often a safer gift than choosing the art yourself.

Poster, canvas or framed print: pick the finish first

A paper print or poster is the most flexible option. It is usually the most affordable way to try a design, and it can be framed later or swapped out as your taste changes. Canvas prints give a finished, gallery-style look without glass, which suits living rooms and spaces where reflections from windows would be distracting.

Framed prints with a matboard add a border that gives the image breathing room and makes a smaller print feel more substantial on a wall. If you plan to frame, ordering the frame and matboard with the print avoids the common problem of a standard frame that does not quite match the print size. Check the listed dimensions of the frame as well as the image area before you order.

Sizing a print for the wall you have

Most wall art disappointments come down to scale. Measure the wall and any furniture beneath it, then mark the planned size with painter's tape or paper before ordering. A single piece above a sofa or bed generally looks better when it relates to the width of the furniture, while a narrow hallway may suit a smaller print or a vertical pair.

For a gallery wall, plan the layout on the floor or on paper first and keep spacing between frames consistent. Mixing posters, canvas and framed pieces can work, but choosing one frame color or one recurring theme, such as botanical or map art, helps the arrangement feel deliberate rather than random.

Shipping and the Happiness Guarantee

Poster Master advertises free shipping on all orders, with expedited options if you need your art sooner, and Dealnory lists the free shipping offer with a note to see delivery terms. Large framed pieces and canvas can take longer to produce and ship than a rolled poster, so allow extra time if the art is a gift for a specific date.

The store also offers a 30-Day Happiness Guarantee if a piece is not what you expected. We would read the guarantee terms before ordering, particularly for personalized prints, since custom pieces are often treated differently from standard catalog items. Keep the packaging until you are sure the piece is staying on the wall.

Who Poster Master suits, and who may want something else

The shop is a good fit for renters and homeowners refreshing a room, people planning a gallery wall, and anyone looking for an art gift or a personalized piece. Being able to choose print, frame and matboard in one order is the main convenience over buying a poster in one place and framing it elsewhere.

It is a weaker fit for buyers who want original artwork or limited editions, since the range is built around prints. If you need conservation framing for a valuable piece, a local framer may still be the better option. And if you are outside the United States, confirm delivery options and timing before you order.

Our verdict: plan the wall, then shop the collection

Poster Master makes the most sense when you want a finished look without separate trips for printing and framing. Choose a poster for flexibility and budget, canvas for a frameless finished look, and a framed print with a matboard when you want a smaller image to hold its own on a larger wall.

Measure first, check the listed dimensions, and decide on the finish before browsing the collections. Doing that work up front matters more to the final result than which of the many designs you pick.

Current offers and a sensible final price

Poster Master currently lists a 10% sitewide welcome code, a 10% discount for first-time buyers, 15% off posters when you spend $200, free shipping on all orders subject to delivery terms and a 30-Day Happiness Guarantee. Offers are usually alternatives rather than stackable, so compare the final total of each before checkout. Check the latest Poster Master coupons and offers on Dealnory to see what is active today.
