EarthHero review: compare everyday products, sustainability claims, pack sizes, subscription choices and return limits before building a household order.
EarthHero brings products from several brands into one store, making it possible to compare household alternatives without visiting each maker separately. That convenience is useful, but an environmental theme across the store does not make every item suitable for the same task or establish the same evidence for every claim.
This review examines official catalog and policy information checked on November 4, 2026. We have not tested cleaning performance, measured product lifetimes or placed an order. Dealnory may earn a commission through our links at no extra cost to you. Check EarthHero offers on Dealnory after selecting items you will actually use.
EarthHero review: a multi-brand marketplace
The store covers home, kitchen, cleaning, personal care and other categories. The reviewed catalog includes ZWS Essentials Copper Scrubber Pack, ZWS Essentials Bamboo Toothbrush for adults and Meliora Castile Dish Soap. These are three different products with different makers, uses and care requirements, not components of one guaranteed matching set.
Start with an item that needs replacing or a practical problem to solve. A store with many appealing alternatives can encourage a larger basket than intended. Buying a replacement you will use is a clearer decision than buying several new versions of objects already doing their job.
Keep the retailer's policy and the product maker's instructions separate. The retailer handles the order and applicable returns; the item may have its own use restrictions, composition and disposal requirements. A general store description is not a substitute for reading those details.
What the sustainability screening means
EarthHero says it reviews brands through five sourcing pillars covering materials and ingredients, company responsibility, ownership and representation, packaging and end of life, and give-back programmes. That describes the retailer's selection approach. We have not independently audited the process or established an identical environmental outcome for every listing.
A product can meet one priority without meeting all of your priorities. Recycled content, a reusable design, local production and a particular ingredient preference are different characteristics. Decide which matters for your actual use and look for a specific description or identifiable certification where relevant.
Ask what is covered by a claim. Packaging being plastic-free does not prove that every component of the product has the same composition. A shipping-emissions claim should not be read as a complete lifecycle assessment of everything in the order. We have not measured EarthHero's emissions or independently verified product-level environmental savings.
Three catalog examples and practical checks
The copper scrubber is a cleaning tool, so check the maker's compatibility guidance for your cookware or surface before use. A description comparing copper with other scrubbers is not a guarantee that it cannot scratch any finish. We have not tested it on coated pans or delicate surfaces.
The bamboo toothbrush listing describes a bamboo handle, plant-based bristles and paper packaging, and offers different pack sizes. Confirm the exact selected quantity and current material description. Ask how the handle and bristles should be disposed of separately if required, rather than assuming the entire item belongs in every local composting system.
The Meliora soap listing offers a 7 oz bar or a three-pack, with lemon and unscented options. Check the chosen quantity and scent before comparing prices. A solid dish-soap format requires a suitable way to use and store it; we have not tested lather, cleaning effectiveness or how long a bar lasts.
These examples show why a product-specific comparison is essential. Surface compatibility matters for a scrubber, composition and disposal for a toothbrush, and format and storage for a soap bar. One broad eco-friendly label does not answer all three sets of questions.
Pack size and cost per use
Compare the price for the exact unit count or weight. A product search can show similar names from different brands and different pack configurations. A large price difference may therefore reflect a different quantity rather than a better discount on the same item.
For a hypothetical example, an 18 three-pack costs 6 per item. A single item at 7 can still be the more economical first purchase if you are unsure whether it works for your routine. These are illustrative numbers, not current EarthHero prices.
Cost per use is helpful only when the expected use is realistic. A reusable item must actually be used, cleaned and maintained. We have not measured the point at which any product produces a financial or environmental advantage, so this review does not supply a universal break-even claim.
Include accessories you would need. A different cleaning format may need a holder or brush you do not already own. Check whether the photograph shows those as included contents or merely as styling. Do not infer a complete kit from an attractive product image.
Shipping threshold and a sensible basket
The reviewed FAQ describes guest free shipping from $75 after discounts, excluding tax, for its stated US coverage. It also describes different thresholds for some rewards tiers. Confirm the destination and current basket eligibility rather than applying one threshold to every customer.
Compare the cost of an extra item with the shipping charge avoided. If an additional 14 item avoids a hypothetical 7 delivery charge, spending more only makes sense if you want that item. A shipping threshold is not by itself a reason to increase the order.
The shipping policy provides processing and delivery estimates, including a longer estimate for free shipping. Treat those as planning information rather than a guaranteed arrival date. Check the selected products and checkout estimate if the order is for a fixed event or an urgent replacement.
We have not tested dispatch speed or delivery packaging. Inspect the order when it arrives and report damaged, defective or incorrect items promptly using the store's instructions.
One-time purchase or subscription
Some catalog items can be offered on a recurring basis. Compare the selected purchase option, delivery interval and charge before paying. A subscription saving is useful only if replenishment matches the rate at which you use the item.
The subscription policy says repeat deliveries follow the selected duration and frequency, and describes managing or cancelling through order-confirmation links. Check when the next charge is due and whether an already processed delivery can still be changed. We have not tested the management interface.
Do not subscribe to an unfamiliar consumable solely to obtain the lowest first-order figure. A one-time purchase can provide a more manageable way to assess suitability. If you do choose repeat delivery, review the interval after seeing how quickly the first item is used.
Returns and important exclusions
The policy retrieved through the store's catalog tools describes a thirty-day window after receipt to request a return. Eligible items must be unused or unworn, with tags, original packaging and proof of purchase. It excludes sale items and several categories, including hygiene and beauty goods, perishables, custom items and hazardous materials.
That means you should not assume you can test a personal-care item and then return it like an unopened household accessory. Confirm the exact product's eligibility before opening it if that condition affects the purchase.
The policy requires approval before sending an item back and says an accepted return receives a label and instructions. It does not make a label alone proof that postage is free. The FAQ mentions deductions for apparel-return labels, while rewards material promotes return benefits. Ask which arrangement applies to your account and item.
Approved refunds are described as going back to the original payment method after inspection, with an indicated ten-business-day processing period. We have not tested that timing. Obtain the approved return address and instructions from support rather than sending a parcel without authorisation.
Claims, ingredients and household fit
Read ingredients and warnings for products used on skin, around food or on particular materials. Terms such as natural or non-toxic should not be treated as proof that every product is suitable for every person, pet or surface. We have not conducted safety testing or assessed individual sensitivities.
For a gift, the recipient's routine matters. A refill product is less useful without its compatible container, and an unfamiliar format may not suit the household. Choose around an established need and include the original instructions rather than replacing them with a general sustainability message.
Using a Dealnory offer
Browse EarthHero through our US affiliate link after checking the maker, pack size, purchase frequency and return eligibility. Verify the complete basket after discounts and compare it with the quantity you intended to buy.
A promotion can reduce the cost of a suitable replacement. It cannot establish product performance, local disposal acceptance or a measured environmental benefit. Keep those questions separate from the coupon calculation.
Our assessment
EarthHero is a useful retailer to compare when you want several household alternatives in one catalog. Its sourcing descriptions provide a starting point, while the decisive checks remain the product's actual composition, compatibility, complete price and the way you will use it.
Our assessment is based on published catalog and policy information rather than hands-on testing or an environmental audit. Start with a needed item, confirm its instructions and purchase terms, and expand the order only when the additional products make sense for your household.
